The thing is, I sometimes feel like what I do is simply not enough. I recycle, I reuse, I take my trusted water bottle everywhere to avoid plastic ones. Even so, here we are. Fall is still feeling like Summer, and somebody out there is still enjoying a 30-minute ride on their private jet. It can be frustrating. On that note, though, will this meme collection change the temperature and the forever-changing forecast predictions on your phone? No, I wish it could. Will it reverse the decades of uncontrolled pollution and unawareness? No, I don’t think so. That said, it will most definitely make you feel a lot better about choosing that paper straw over the plastic one. A small deed indeed, but a very valuable one.

At the end of the day, things happen little by little. One day, you decide to stop buying plastic-wrapped food altogether. The next day, a friend sees you do that and chooses to do the same. Before you know it, your entire family and friends group is googling how to appropriately recycle every package left after a fun dinner together. The bottom line is that one small act of consciousness inspires another small act, and so on. Eventually, what started as a little crumble turns into a massive wave of change, or, in better words, anti-climate change. Share this list with your least eco-friendly pal and inspire them to reduce waste, while they recycle and reuse some laughter.
